Our Local Newsletter is called The Four Trees. Our editor Mary Caldwell produces 1100 copies monthly. Workers on the FAS environmental scheme in the area
deliver these by hand to each house in the area. We are very grateful to the men and women of this scheme for their help.
The newsletter contains items of interest to people in the area. The Newsletter is a vehicle to publicise upcoming events such as Community Open Forums, elections for local RAPID and Employment Partnership representatives. Issues of local concern are also dealt with. Teachers from the two local Boys and Girls school have an input into the newsletter. We have regular articles on recently baptised babies, to student of the month. We cover budget and social welfare changes and entitlements etc. Every month we have gardening tips and a monthly recipe and for the children, their very own children’s page with jokes and puzzles.
